Ipswich Town Women's Abbie Lafayette joins the #TogetherUnited Family as a Player Ambassador

Ipswich Town FC Women defender, Abbie Lafayette, has accepted a Player Ambassador role with #TogetherUnited.

Abbie started her career at grass roots level with her local side Garston Ladies before joining Town's WSL Academy programme in 2018. After impressing during her first season at the club, Abbie received her maiden first-team call up and made her senior debut on the final day of the 2018/19 season, scoring a last minute winner as the Tractor Girls defeated Cambridge United 3-2.

Abbie has gone on to be a mainstay in the Town side, featuring in almost every game including the Tractor Girls' historic run in the Women's FA Cup.


Abbie said: "I'm proud to have been asked to be a Player Ambassador for #TogetherUnited. As a player I am able to do something I've dreamed of doing since I was a young girl, and I look forward to helping others to get full enjoyment from sport at whatever their level of participation through #TogetherUnited."
